The series was born at the end of the crisis year 2008, ahead of the upcoming Year of the Ox. It references the Bible story of the era of the “lean cows” from Pharaoh’s dream, which is why the bull is flat.
This is a Soviet Apis with the Sun between its horns, where a 5-kopeck coin from 1961 fits perfectly.
The screw fastening the coin to the head (in the photo) is an experimental feature; subsequently, the coin was mounted in the wax model and became immovably fixed during casting.
Approximately 30 Apis figures were cast in total.
Sērija Padomju Āpijs
Sērija radās krīzes pilnā 2008. gada beigās, tuvojoties Vērša gadam, kā atsauce uz Bībeles stāstu par faraona sapnī redzēto “tievo govju” posmu, tāpēc vēršis ir plakans.
Tas ir padomju Āpijs ar Sauli starp ragiem, tur ideāli iederas 1961. gada parauga 5 kapeiku monēta.
Skrūve, kas monētu piestiprina pie galvas (foto), ir eksperimentāla, vēlāk monēta tika montēta vaska modelī un, to ielejot, tika nekustīgi fiksēta.
Kopumā tika izlieti apmēram 30 Āpiji.
Серия Советский Апис
Серия родилась в конце кризисного 2008 года, к наступающему году Быка, как отсылка к библейскому сюжету об эпохе «тощих коров» из сна фараона, поэтому бык плоский.
Это советский Апис с Солнцем меж рогов, куда идеально помещается 5-копеечная монета образца 1961 года.
Винт, крепящий монету к голове (на фото) — экспериментальный, впоследствии монета монтировалась в восковой модели, и при заливке неподвижно фиксировалась.
Всего было отлито около 30 Аписов.
